Hello Classmates, friends. It's been over a year since I posted a note on the website, as Leslie reminded me. I am on the largest island of Hawaii at Echo Hawaii, a Mayo Clinic conference, at a beautiful setting, and have time to reflect again. Like many of us, our kids are growing or are already adults, going through life stages that we remember so well from high school and beyond. Our high school years were like in Happy Days, each with our little social circles. (I wear the collar of my leather jacket up and pretend to be the Fonz sometimes with my kids, but they don't seem to appreciate it!) When we left those final Grade 13 grad events, we couldn't have appreciated the finality of those innocent high school days, and the transition into university, college, and adulthood, as we do now. As I reminisce, I look at my small social circle of Emil Schemitsch, the chess club guys (John Lucki, Ed Wren, Mike the junior chess champion of Canada, Frank), Peter Rajec, Grant Hansen, Mark, and so many others who spent minutes, hours, days together in classes, at lunch, wrestling or cross country running, houseleague football, gym class, social events, the awkward dances in the gym. Or the many girls who I admired from afar, who were friendly to that shy teenage boy. Thank you for those years. I have one son at U. of T. now, and the second will probably be there next year. Two daughters, ages 10 and 14 here with me, on the cusp of womanhood, and I am happy for the opportunity to show them that i love them, that i am their father who admires and cares for them deeply, to help them on a steady path through adolescence. The wider church family is also important for them, in the Christian sense and also socially, where they can meet respectful peers that will help them become well rounded adults. And my wife of course, who God has given me to round me out! Sometimes it isn't easy, but as men we need to be faithful to our spouses and work out our marriage relationship, again with the wider support of our church body. We attend a Life Group at church, which is a couples group that meets monthly, about 6 or 7 couples meeting once a month on sunday night at our homes. Our kids went to school together often, and we go through a lesson each month on parenting or marriage or sex or anything interesting from the Christian perspective. It's a way to keep accountable, to sharpen each other, and has been a support to us. As a doctor, the responsibilty also brings an appreciation for the frailty of life, as I mentioned in past posts here, and the reality of life and death. They prepare us for life in high school and adolescence, but we don't have much preparation for crossing the Jordan one day, which we all will have to face soon. We can draw comfort that Christ will receive us on the other side of that deep river, and welcome us to Himself, to a place where he will wipe away every tear. Meanwhile, let us enjoy life with the families we have been blessed with, and do the work He has assigned to us, faithfully and wholeheartedly, knowing He will reward us for it soon. I live in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and we have cross country skiing here just 2 km from our house, 6 months of the year, at the beautiful Wapiti Nordic Ski Club, in the river valley. I would be glad to host classmates for a visit, and post our experiences to the website later. (I'm not much of a Facebook guy, but plan to use it more in the future somehow in a private way. Planning on getting the new Blackberry phone and keeping in touch socially more through Blackberry Hub. Have avoided the iPhone, which wife and kids have!) Greetings to all! Hugo Bertozzi Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine University of Alberta General Internal Medicine Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada |

I will be visiting Toronto next weekend to meet with number 1 son and 2 nephews. My son attends U. of T. for Engineering, nephew Zack goes to Sheridan College for plumbing, and nephew Josh is in Grade 12 at Holy Trinity High School Mississauga. Those old high school days seem so removed from now, a generation ago really, nearly 35 years, but we can still make an important difference in our world, starting with our families and friends. If I can help out any of the Grad Girls who are single moms by encouraging one of their kids, let me know we’ll see what we can work out.
Enjoy those old songs from 70s on the reunion website, especially the 60s – was just listening to some Burt Bacharach songs by Dionne Warwick – I Say A Little Prayer For You, and What The World Needs Now is Love Sweet Love………
Just a short 4 day visit. Looking for some good hiking trails not far from Etobicoke, in fact, near the old MPSJ site. Any suggestions?

| So tell me something about Remo's Place in Rexdale? Maybe my dad used to go and sell there, as he would visit a lot of the small restaurants and bars for Bertozzi Importing. (By the way, for good Italian food, gift baskets at Christmas, check our website www.bertozziepicure.com, designed by my sister Marina, another MPSJ grad.) | |||

I returned from Toronto this week after accompanying my son to the U. of T. residence on Chestnut Street. We toured the downtown campus, bought him a shirt, books, and bedsheets. Although he's not an emotionally expressive son, like many of his contemporaries, our time together brought both of us some joy, and I know he appreciated it, as he gave me a goodbye hug at the Queen's Park subway. This was time well spent for me. |

Thanks Leslie for the great memories of your music list from the '70's. I'm also assisting my younger daughter who is entering the Ryerson Nursing program in September. I also have an older daughter who is entering 5th year of the U of T concurent teacher / teachers college degree. I feel for them both and know that there is lots of stress in higher education. I sure would not want to go through it again myself. I completed my education in my early 40's, which was very difficult, since I continued working part-time. I had forgotten how to study and was nervous about failing and wasting money and time, not to mention being one of the oldest. I think being nervous made me study harder and I ended up getting honors. I'm still taking courses and started a tutor service a number of years ago. Just remember, we are never to old to learn. Good luck to all of us, who have children going off to university this year. Cheers! Mark |

Thanks Leslie for that nostalgic music! The memory of those high school years came back as my son graduated from Grade 12 last month. Looking forward to settle him into the U. of T. residence in September, and it will bring back memories. The pains, awkwardness, missed opportunities, and joys of high school and university. But we look forward, and strive onward for the great things that lie ahead! To my Classmates: may the years ahead be better and greater and more joyous than those that have passed. Hope to visit Toronto in early August too. |

Heard from our fellow student and Archbishop Peter Rajec in Kuwait City, who is in an important position in the Arab world in a monumental time of history such as this! May the Lord give him wisdom in his work there! Reminds me of the stories of Esther, and of Raoul Wallenberg's role in WW2. |

Hello Friends, A prayer now to our dear parents, who put us through MPSJ so that we would have the advantage of a catholic education, and looking back, they were right. We were in the golden period of the school, with wonderful, dedicated teachers who took a genuine interest in us, guided us. We had the spirit, the sports teams, the cheerleaders, the chess and debating clubs! May God keep our parents now and bless them, and give them satisfaction, love, and richness of years, surrounded by their children and grandchildren. I'm thinking of returning to Toronto for a sabbatical in a couple of years, after being away for 20 years already. The world and Toronto, "she changes lots", but some things don't change. Do some of those memories of the 1970's still live? Maybe we should have a reunion track and field meet at Power one day soon! Then all of us middle aged guys and gals can having a training goal, and bring back some of that youth. Any takers? I challenge Kevin Shanahan, who I shared a locker with in Grade 11 in the "skunk portable", to the 100 metre hurdles! With Fond Memories, Hugo |

Hello Again, I had a dream of high school last night, so I wanted to write again. Those days seem so remote and nostalgic now, but the truth is that these days are our Happy Days also, and the days ahead. I wish you all a Happy Christmas with family and friends. I will be far from Toronto out in Alberta, but even now am dreaming of how to return to Toronto after 20 years away. Our parents are aging and we'll have fewer years left with them, who nurtured us through the school years. Some of them have passed on, others decline in health, while others remain strong and vigorous. My favorite uncle from Chicago, who almost died of appendicitis in a communist jail in WWII, just had a TIA, and I'd like to visit him to hear about all of those years again, one more time. This lazy Sunday afternoon we're going to watch Band of Brothers here to reflect back on those years, which profoundly affected my family. We can remember our troops in Afghanistan at this time also. With Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year, Hugo Bertozzi |

Hello gang! I hope you are all well and settling in to spring in Toronto and wherever Providence has scattered us like seed from those formative years at MPSJ. Those years were certainly memorable! Makes me almost want to buy a new Camaro, or Mustang, or Challenger, but those buildings are now gone, and we are all 32 years older. We can't recapture our youth, but we're not really that old yet, and there are still a lot of healthy roots in that MPSJ community, and lots of fruit from the grads of our year and the years around ours, what some term the Golden Years of our school. What our teachers and parents, family and friends invested into our lives has produced a tremendous harvest, as we see classmates working in charities to help the needy all over the world and at home, others working in various businesses, professions, governments, education, both here and abroad. Many stories we haven't heard, but would be inspired and lifted up to hear. The teachers, the spirit, the students - they all had a "just right" quality. Looking back now, even sharing those lockers wasn't so bad - I got to know Kevin Shanahan better! Here in Grande Prairie, Alberta spring has finally arrived also and we put our cross country skis away. There goes my 15 year old down the driveway on his unicycle. I will be coming to Toronto on thursday with my daughter who will celebrate her 12th birthday in T.O. I'll be in Toronto from April 29 until May 8, and can be contacted on my cell 780-933-1763, or email. I might rent a fun car and we could come by and say hello, maybe meet together around the old neighbourhood. We're planning to go to Science Centre, and drive around southern Ontario a bit too, go to some outdoor cafes, so if you have some time and want to go together with your kids, give me a call. I'll be staying at mom's house in Etobicoke. More news to follow before our summer vacation in Ontario. Please share your news also on this website, and even share some of your stories. It's kind of like speaking in front of the class, I guess We can make it a way of keeping a bit in touch. Best Wishes to All, Hugo |

Hi, I have been looking over the website again, and the 50th birthday bash, after a hard day's work. The Class of 78 looks great! The pictures of Father Redmond bring back a lot of memories. He was a great man. Discipline he gave out in good measure, so that he was able to coach well, and to form a great track and field team, with guys like Glenn Bogue, Ted Kennedy, Tom Worndl, and others. Later he became principal in our final year, a very good choice. Sadly, he passed on to greater things in 1981 while waiting for a coronary bypass apparently, if Mr. Muccilli and the other teachers I met at Sherway Gardens on a friday in Sept. 08 were correct. It was great to see everybody in September 08, and I do hope to attend another reunion soon. Maybe we should have one of those car rallies next summer in Toronto, and turn it into a fundraiser for a worthy cause! Hugo |

Hello! Sorry I missed the 50th birthday party. It would have been nice to share some of the pains of getting older with you all! Teen trouble, wife weight, arthritis and stiffness......but there are also some satisfactions that go along with a few more grey hairs. Hey, I want to remind you that the Arctic Winter Games go on in Grande Prairie in March, for teens ages 12-17! After the Vancouver Olympics, this is next dude! If anyone might be interested in visiting, I extend this invitation, even if just to get away for a while to a place out of the way and reeelax. So what do you guys think of this new Camaro? Reminds of the old days with those guys parked in front of St. Joe's trying to impress the girls, and it's a pretty nice car too. It just snowed here today unfortunately, and I just flew back from Toronto's weather last night from the Critical Care Forum! Make sure you all get the H1N1 vaccine because it has the potential to be very serious for our age group too. I'm getting my whole family vaccinated. With Love and Blessings, Hugo Bertozzi |

Hello My Fellow Classmates! Last night I had a dream about another class reunion, which prompted me to check the website and send this note. IN the dream, a younger generation, possibly our kids, were soaking us with water pitchers for fun. I wonder what this could mean? Being rejuvenated with and by our kids maybe? Any ideas? We are planning to visit Toronto in late July and early August, after a family reunion in Chicago. We'd be glad to meet some other families when we come out east from Alberta. That might be a better time for the 50th reunion perhaps - it would be good to take a poll to see when people are in Toronto during the summer. What's everybody doing for the kids' spring break? We're planning ours still. Cross country ski season is winding down now for our family - we have learned to enjoy it around here, being only a 10 minute drive from the Nordic Centre. If anyone is interested, the Arctic Winter Games are being held in Grande Prairie in a year, and there are events like snowshoeing and snowshoe biathlon that teenagers can compete in without a lot of training, and enjoy the experience of meeting teens from Russia, Scandinavia, Alaska, NWT and Nunavut, Quebec. See if your kid can participate- ours will be there, and I'm trying to persuade my "lazy one" to go with a reward. Blessings on Everyone and Happy Easter, Hugo |

Greetings to everyone again and best wishes for a great holiday. I'm pleased to have received some emails from classmates since the reunion. My family is staying in Alberta this Christmas, so I won't be able to make the Royal York this year Scott, but thanks for the notice. Like the old sentimental classic "It's A Wonderful Life", I would like to send this telegram at Christmas to all my classmates during this advent season as we remember Christ's birth. |

| Some folks you just can't get enough of: take Drury, Gubert, Cachia, Baldanza, Simone, Genova, Canaletti, Ierullo, with occasional appearances by Spags, O'Shell, Mike Smith, Davenport ... the list goes on. It's happened every Christmas at the Crooked Cue at Royal York and Bloor for way longer than I can recall; no exception this year. December 23rd, any time after 7 pm. Chat it up and please come. I don't know what we'd do if St. Joe's grads actually came. We'd probably stand straighter. I think Adamick's coming this year. Maybe he'll get McGrath out, too. So Mackenzie should come. Leslie's making me pay by the letter so I won't list the entire yearbook. Merry Christmas to all who read this. Regards, Scott | |||

Hello Friends, I just looked over all the reunion photos again and everyone's Grad Photos. It sure brings back a certain longing, of times past, opportunities come and gone, some taken, some not, some that we didn't even realize were there. Here I go being sentimental again. I know that I wasn't the most sociable and outgoing, and somewhat selfish too, self-conscious, so I didn't get to know a lot of people well. In a word, inept and immature, pretty rough around the edges. However, I do want to say that you all were a great group to spend those 5 years with, and I made some great friends and many great acquaintances. I wish you all a blessed and memorable time this Christmas with family and friends, wherever in the world you are! With fond memories, and also looking ahead to what the Lord has in store for us all, which must be much greater and higher and perfect than anything we have experienced yet in this life, a spectacular culmination of all of those hopes and dreams and aspirations of our youth, but with all the disappointments fulfilled, all our mistakes redeemed! God Bless and with a Hug, Hugo (at the start of the lonely Highway to Alaska, in Grande Prairie, Alberta) - hey look me up dude (I'm going to try having more fun skiing on snow and water with my 4 kids, and call people "dude" ya' know, ride the EAC) when you pass thru - just page me at the hospital, or call 780-933-1763 (cell) |

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! After seeing the photos I realized I missed speaking to fair number of people at the reunion and some I didn't recognize till later and for that I am sorry...age, memory loss and not enough time to catch everyone. :) I wish you all the best of health and much happiness in your lives! I think we may need chairs for the next reunion (not used to standing that long). Take care and all the best to those at the reunion and to those who missed it! Cheers Christine Thompson |

I was just looking through the photos from the reunion, smiling and laughing. It was great to see everyone again, I must say again. In the photos I recognized people that I had wanted to see but missed that night. The trip to Italy after the reunion was very fun, seeing cousins I hadn't seen in 25 years. I'm now back in Grande Prairie, Alberta where we're having a nice fall (meaning it hasn't snowed yet), dealing with my teenagers, back at work and on call. I sure do feel like "semi-retiring"!!! What do people think would be a good age for retirement? What would you do when you retire? Found any nice places to retire to? Hugo |

| The photos from the reunion are great and everyone looks so good, despite the thirty year difference. I had the pleasure of seeing Frank Kosec, his wife and other family members in Rome just recently and Frank told me all about the event. It was good to hear about so many of you it made me feel like I was part of the reunion. Hopefully more of you will pass through Rome and the Vatican during some future trips. When in town look me up. Thanks Leslie for all your efforts! | |||

I have a story to tell! On Friday Sept 5 I went for a horse ride in the evening and was tossed off of my mare and landed flat on my back whereupon I could not get up and was in terrible pain! I went to hospital by ambulance and found out that the fall had irritated an old back injury that I received 17 years ago, which I did not know that I had. The previous two compression fractures of my vertebrae (T12 and L!) were stable so I did not need a brace or surgery, but they kept me on strict bed rest for 3 days. I tried to get word through to you via classmate Eunice, the pharmacist at the Midland Hospital where I was convalescing, however she had already left for Toronto. Eunice stopped in to see me on the Monday and told me how wonderful the party was!!! I would send a photo of me from that same night, but my IV line did not match my dress so I decided against it. We are so sorry and sad to have missed that special evening with everyone! The photos are wonderful.
Love,
Barbara Ann

Leslie - All the previous comments are "spot on"... it was a great evening! So, sincere thanks to you and yours for making it that way. It was a genuine pleasure meeting up with so many after so long... I just regret that the evening went by so quickly and I didn't get to meet up with more. Maybe next time. Best regards to you all. Pat. P.S. Carol... I didn't go to the pub... I relived the past just that little bit longer and went to Apache with a few others (burger on a kaiser, pickle on the side, rings, and a malted shake. Once again Leslie, thank you for all your work. Though I wasn't fortunate enough to have made it to the reunion, seeing the pictures brings warm memories of old friends whom I haven't seen or heard from in decades. It's so great to see some of the old gang from St. Marcellus - Greg, Mary, Valerie, David and Lou. Talk about going back in time.... Everyone looks great, no where near a bunch of folks pushing 50! Congratulations to all. It sounds and looks like you all had a wonderful time. Speaks volumes about the character of the class of '78! Best Wishes Wendy |

Thank you to my former Transfiguration classmate Leslie Ann and team for such a magical evening! It was so wonderful to see classmates and dear friends from near and far away (esp. Pat Cooper - my elementary school buddie - I looked to say good-bye - but you must have headed to a pub?) make the journey to be together for that one night that will leave us I'm sure, talking about it for some time. It was great reminiscing and sharing some fond memories, photos and laughs of so long ago including wonderful March break trips to Italy and Cartagena S.A. The evening went by much too quickly! This web-site has been such a great venue for everyone to reconnect and learn about our successes and life's challenges! It's also been kind of sad as we have lost some dear friends over the years and reminds us how truly short life is so, live each day to the fullest and be thankful for what we have, continue to laugh and stay positive! Look forward to seeing the photo's (including the Transfiguration elementary school gang) posted as we will re-live that special evening, all over again! Thanks again Leslie and to all of you who came out that evening, to those there in spirit sharing your bio. which was great to read. Let's hope we can do this again! |

We did have an exceptional group in our year - Father Vetere was right - everyone is so happy! The power of positive thinking! Great to see pictures of everyone's children - many in University already! I'm even going to get together with some grads that couldn't make the reunion (Rosella, Anne, Sue Goldup!!) Life has been good in our little corner of the world. It's amazing the people I meet out there that are connected to our old school - met another grad today from 1982. Let's keep connected through e-mail. Will this web-site be an on-going thing? | |||

| Mary, your hope has been fulfilled. Can anyone beat 4 days? After not seeing most of you for the last 30 years (3 that I recall meeting since getting married in '93: Scott McNally, Fr. Neil Roy, & Sharon Bell), I recognized someone from the reunion at Curriculum Night @ St. Vincent's in Oakville. It turns out that Kathy (Morrison) Gutgesell's daughter Annelie is in the same grade as and last year was in the same class as my oldest daughter Josie (I have 4 kids). Who knew? And I have another gem for those who didn't bring their spouses. Tsk! Tsk! My wife Cathy recognized Kathy (Rosenitsch) Patava as my son Parry's skating instructor. Again, without the reunion I wouldn't have known. And since I'm on a roll, Martin Caracciolo, I have a tall white pine in my backyard. I plan on mounting a spotlight on top and shining it into your backyard to keep you up at night as a "housewarming" gift for when you move in. I've got to sign off for now; Kid's birthday party and soccer championship coming up this weekend. | |||

Leslie and Jeff; thank you for all the work you must of done, to get this together. I will always remember this time, as we were all able to talk to people that we have missed, as life can get busy, as we all know. I couldn't believe all the people that were there, it was a large room, just full of great people, the old times, and laughter.. I laughed most of the night, just about things that went on in our high school days, and even in grade school. I finally found out the real story of the barn thing, from Steve, and man I had a great laugh, about that one... Well, too all, thank you for coming and enjoying this event, that was available to us, because of Leslie. So, let's all keep the ball rolling, so to speak, and email each other to keep in comtact. There was a lot of people to talk, to but I think that we all got around, to say hello, so to all, good luck in the future. One last think. Debbie G you are still a hot babe..... Live, love and laugh Kevin |

Hello Everyone, It was truly memorable to see you all on saturday night, all the old friends, acquaintances, and even we who just shared some classes and the atmosphere of the school during those 5 golden years of our youth. Thank you Leslie and Jeff for that great effort, and for this website, which allowed us to break the ice a bit after all of those years, and to prepare for the reunion. For me, the reunion was bittersweet in some ways, as I reminisce here in the middle of the night in a hotel in Milano. After not hearing or contacting any of you for 30 years, except a handful, and most of those in the early 80s, it was great to see you, shake your hand, see your smile, hear about your life. We had a chance to meet again, like we did at school once, but then we go our own ways again to face the challenges of life, and that's the sad part for me. We're like ships who pass each other in the night in way, but I don't want to sound too morose. It definitely was great seeing and chatting with many, even those I didn't have a chance to talk to. We should do this again sometime soon. One day we hope to have that great runion in the sky with the Lord, though that still seems far off for many of us. From my perspective as a doctor who sees death frequently, I know that it's not far off, a heartbeat away really. But until then, as our teachers instructed us, may the Good Lord bless you and keep you, may he make these years of the second half of your life even more fruitful, satisfying, happy, joyful, and a blessing to others around you as you seek His will for your lives! If any of you are passing through Grande Prairie, Alberta, as you may be while on the highway to Alaska (and physics was phun too), please look me up by calling the hospital there or visiting. Would there be a way of keeping a website going somehow? I'd like to donate to the Kevin Phillips hair fund for cancer research too Mark. A big hug to all, a big Michael Power St. Joe's cheer! Thank you to all who came out for the reunion, Hugo Bertozzi 780-532-1966 |

| Hi all, we're looking forward to the reunion. I'm married to fellow grad Kevin Shanahan (another wedding officiated by Fr. Vetere). We are 'almost' empty nesters; two of our three children have flown the coop. After 30 years I could probably still belt out a Power cheer...but you can forget about the jumps. And yet...lets hear three cheers for Leslie!!! (leaps into air...oww, crick in back...help me out here Maggie!). | |||

| I've been lurking for months on this site, enjoying the lead up to the event, reading postings and watching involvement grow. Long past time to sign in. I've been married to Vickie Rzadki (MPSJ 1981) for over 21 years; this makes me Joanne Rzadki's ('78) brother-in-law and cousin-in-law to a dozen or more MPSJ grads. Fr. John Vetere officiated at our wedding. Three kids (Stephen - 20, Emily - 18, James - 15.) U of T Commerce led to Chartered Accountancy, which led to databases, which has led to 14 years of independent SAP consulting. I'm fortunate to have a long list of great personal friends who are MPSJ grads: one best man (with a nod to Drury), a godfather (hey, Denis Gubert); four of my closest musical friends on the planet are Power grads from near years (Stanowski, Corcoran, Telewiak (also a godfather), Antonacci.) Vacation buddies over the years: Cachia, Baldanza, Cooper, all 78. Then there's all the 78 guys who get together at the Crooked Cue every year on Dec 23rd; come on out this year. A bunch of us have been doing this since about 1983. All in all, my Power connections have been terribly important to me. My memories of all years are vivid. I'm grateful for them. I'm even more grateful for being able to renew many friendships through re-unions over the years and one or two phone conversations with grads leading up to this event. Thanks, Leslie, for taking the bull by the horns. See y'all there. | |||

| Hi Everyone and a special thanks to Leslie. I have been married to Glenn for 25 years and have a beautiful 12 year old daughter, Jennifer. After 16 years at Ontario Hydro, as a computer analyst, I took a package and decided to start a home day care business. I now watch 4 toddlers, 2 cats, 1 hamster and 1 puppy (the animals are ours). I guess I finally have that large family I always wanted. I can hardly wait to see friends from the past and return to those carefree days...even for a few hours. See you on the 6th. | |||

| Those 5 years were indeed special, the atmosphere of the school was great, upbeat, positive. A large part of that was due to the teachers like Fr. Vetere, Wally Bonchar, Muccilli, Father Kelly. I want to thank them all again and hope to see them at the reunion. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon, flying in to Toronto on the thursday from Alberta. Someone call Emil Schemitsh and invite him out, and Martin Carraciolo, Peter Wuebbolt, Mark Hamel, and ...... | |||

| I will be missing a great time to be sure but a quick trip to the reunion is a bit of a journey. I make my home in Honolulu Hawaii these days (last 14 years-3 girls). My eldest daughter's HS colours were maroon and gold and a day didn't go by in those 4 years that I wasn't reminded of many of you and the great times spent at MPSJ. Enjoy reconnecting with your friends. Drop me an e-mail if any of you come to the islands....a few mini reunions have already taken place here over a few Mai Tai's. Aloha | |||

Looking back on a 31 year teaching career (after 4 years of retirement), I realize that the late 70's at Power/St.Joe's were indeed golden years. My fellow retirees, Joe Muccilli, Bob Amaolo, Joseph Pastor, Ed D'Andrea, Chet Dziuba and Anna DeVito (who all became staff at Father John Redmond in 1985) agree that the years your graduating class spent at MPSJ were among the most special to us in our years as instructors there. By the way, Muccilli, Pastor, Amaolo and I would love to have any of you join us for coffee at Timothy's Sherway Gardens any Friday afternoon around 3 pm. We will try to make an appearance at the reunion to say hi. If not, all the best to you and God bless! |

Greetings to all my fellow graduates. I truly wanted to attend, but this little job as Mother of the Bride got in the way after three date changes. My buds Deirdre, Debbie and Eunice will have to fill you in on the details as they are having their cake and eating it too - my daughter's wedding followed by the reunion. I am currently nursing in the aboriginal reserves, followed by travel wherever I please, which at this point is Guatemala for a medical mission in October preceded by a hike to the Mayan ruins, I hope, at El Mirador. Hello all, it's been great visiting this excellent website that Leslie arranged and hearing from friends of 30 years ago. It's been more than "saying goodbye for the summer" this last time, but it doesn't seem so long ago. Imagine what we'll be like in 30 more years! I am so looking forward to this evening and hope to see a lot of the guys and gals I hung around with and also those I didn't get to talk to much. It should be a fun night and I'm coming with my wife of 17 years. Anyone heard from John Invansics, Peter Wuebbolt, Marc Hamel? I hope (Prof) Emil Schemitsch comes out and the whole chess club/debating team!! Remember those guys? Five years in the same blue blazer, how we managed that I'll never know.... |

Many thanks to you Leslie for being the person that is making a special night for all of us to enjoy. You have certainly done a great job! Your drinks should be free.
I will be making the trip from Phoenix for this evening of reminiscing. It will certainly be interesting to discover what everyone has been doing for 30 years and what they look like today. I’m glad I didn’t use the same hair dryer as Dunnigan.
I have enjoyed reading about so many familiar names from the past and hope more of the Grads of ’78 will share their information. I am really looking forward to seeing and talking to as many of you as possible on September 6th.

Hello friends from long ago (as opposed to OLD friends)! How many times in the last 30 years have you thought of doing something and never quite got around to it? Perhaps one of those things was to connect with a long-lost friend from MPSJ. Thanks to Leslie, we can now do just that with very little effort. Each one of us is indebted to Leslie for her tireless determination and effort in making 'A Night To Remember' happen. Here's your chance to do one of those things that you've always intended to do - reconnect with friends that were such a big part of your life at one time. HI Folks-- I am currently living on Auckland's North Shore in New Zealand. And-- (inspired by Patrick Hunt!?!)-- I am a teacher of English, Humanities and Drama. FYI: The reunion falls during NZ school term time.... and that's my excuse for not travelling to join you all in September! That and the crippling cost of the airfares for my 3 kids (ages: 21, 16 and 13) to accompany me! I won't be there in person-- but I will be there in spirit! (As Leslie is my sister-in-law, I expect that I will get filled in on plenty of details, anyway!) Enjoy! Enjoy! Cheers All! Anne (PS: I don't wear braces any more!) |

Hello everyone, Way to go Leslie ! I'm wondering.....and since I've always been the type of person to not know when to go home.....where will we go at 1:00am when the hotel tries to kick us out? Should we arrange a party room (or two)at the hotel for those who want to carry on the festivities? |

Leslie Anne Corrigan you did it! Thanks for you efforts in making this night happen ... as my kids would say, "you walk the talk"! |

| I am counting the days... I saw a lot of people at the reunion last year and it seemed like no time had passed at all. | |||

| Wow Leslie, I can't believe it was last September when you first said you'd like to plan something for our 30th year and now look at all that you've done! Great job - thanks for all of your hard work and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone! | |||

My name is now Shanahan not because I got married but because I decided to take my grandmother's name 25 years ago. I'm a lesbian feminist, living in the east end of Toronto with my 6' 4" 16 year old son and my partner. I'm an underpaid writer. Check out my obituary essays in the Globe and Mail. Any other queers or feminists or some such going to the reunion? Thanks, Leslie, for the great work. Noreen Shanahan |

| G'day all. Long time no see for many of us. Cudos to Leslie for the monumental effort. I'll see you all there. We might not recognise each other; but then 30 years can also do a lot to change the face of a stone in a stream. | |||

Having been involved in many school anniversaries and special events over the past 28 years (due to working for the TCDSB) I can really appreciate the amount of work done so far for this event. Way to go Leslie! |
